PROJECT DESCRIPTION
TRADITIONAL NEIGHBORHOOD DEVELOPMENT DESIGN PACKAGES
MULTIPLE LOCATIONS
Using the principles of TND, or Traditional Neighborhood Development, these design packages were put together for both client and township review and approval. Housing types vary and include multi-family, townhouses, stacked townhouses, single family homes, a main street with lower level retail and commercial space above, as well as a community clubhouse. Planning extended beyond the built environment and incorporated thoughtful land planning elements, a departure from traditional suburban housing developments. Streets are laid out following the principles of TND and include lighting, purposeful paving patterns, and outdoor seating for recreation. The site's layout provides a sense of a hierarchy, with the main street clearly establishing the center, or downtown.
